Wedding Season 2011

January 30, 2011
After getting myself unofficially established last year as a wedding coordinator, I feel like I'm ready to take on a few projects in 2011! My husband and I will be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary this April as well, and it looks like 2011 will prove to be a good year no matter what happens!

This year I will be formulating some ideas for my wedding couples. I don't have anything set in stone but I'm thinking something along the lines of special momentos or trinkets, complimentary to the packages. Either way, I feel ready to take on the wedding scene and coordinate some GREAT weddings this year!!

Theme: Halloween

June 30, 2010
This blog entry is in honor of close friends, Wiley & Tiffanie, who just announced their engagement today. They have decided on a Halloween-themed wedding! This 'holiday' is my favorite and also of Tiffanie's. I could think of no better time of the year for them to be married and my husband and I wish them all the happiness the world has to offer and even if they decide not to have a wedding coordinator, I will make sure that they have the most perfect wedding! Congrats to you both!!

Theme: Vegas Baby!

June 22, 2010
When you hear the term "Vegas wedding", what comes to mind? And at that rate, does a Vegas wedding even have to be in Vegas?

Of course not! Vegas can offer many things, just in loc...

Reception: Drink Station

June 11, 2010
A lot of people go into food tastings with the desire to compliment their own tastes or theme. The same goes with the cake. But I ask, what about the drinks? Well, the focus on the beverages being served to guests is becoming increasingly popular and important to brides and grooms.
Drinks stations are simple, relatively inexpensive (even when alcohol is included), and really makes a statement when matched with your personal wedding style! Unlike some decor, that just sit on a table without a f...

Reception: Photo "booth" instead of guest book.

May 10, 2010
I love homemade photo booths! Many people feel the need to rent actual photo booths or professional set-up which usually costs at MINIMUM $500, and that's if you get lucky! While that may be fine for those who have a higher budget, those looking to save a few dollars can easily have the same results. If you can set up the "booth" beforehand or have your coordinator set it up while you're getting ready, and it will be ready for your guests in no time!

The greatest thing about DIY photo booths i...

Favors: Personalized lip balm.

May 10, 2010
Great for just about ANY type of wedding, personalized lip balms are nice for guests male and female! Not only are you creating a unique favor that is also eco-friendly (reduces waste unlike disposable favors), your guests will remember the great memories from your wedding every time they use it!
